Pepperbelly’s for Dinner

On the San Saba town square is a nice family restaurant called Pepperbelly’s. They serve a variety of foods and featured entertainment from a local singing studio.

Sulpher Springs Campground

While cruising around, we traveled about 10 miles down a dirt road towards Colorado Bend State Park, but took a little detour out of curiosity. At the end of a long gravel road was an oasis in the valley. We saw deer that were eating and drinking 10 feet away and a beautiful winding river at the base of a canyon. It was a place we never would have found without pure wandering. In fact, we almost turned around a few times, but I’m glad we stuck it out.

Dinner!!!!

Because of our nature detour … We were late in getting dinner. We were all so hungry! We ended up at Pepperbelly’s in San Saba, TX. We were surprised with live music and with the fact that we not only were nourishing our bellies but our hearts! Everywhere we turned we saw Bible verses and two songs sung were religious … The beef fajitas were INCREDIBLE too!!!

There was a bit of a detour at

Sulphur Springs in Bend, TX next to Colorado Bend State Park. Beautiful views, super quiet country with deer a few feet away from us. The girls were not as impressed as we were by the quietness and view but did have a good time with a little graffiti on Daddy’s truck … They promised not to do it again!

We ran right into a parade in Lometa!!!

Eve’s was the best lunch!!!

Loved the food and atmosphere!!!
